Avon ZZ3

Just ordered a pair for the rear, seen as though this country is always god damn wet, but has anybody had any experience of them, they seem to get good reviews and are just way cheaper than all the competition, £290 for a pair.

I have just returned from having new front tyres and suggested the Zz3 and they stongly advised me against them, Ive onlt changed the fronts at the moment and went for vredestein and they feel brilliant

I also read the ZZ3's are a good winter tyre and when mine go off I'll be getting some. The Porsche boys use them.

I've got them all round. Once they are bedded in they are OK for the price.

ye im just putting them on the rears for now..cheers for the feedback guys, i feel a bit better about my purchase now.

i have been running with these tyres on all four corners and they are good value for money.

The car feels horrible after fitting these tyres, its squirming and snaking all over the road, is this normal i did notice that the tyres had very deep tread.
Is it just because they are new? Or maybe the geo needs re-doing, as the tyres did seem a bit taller..

did you get them just on the rears in the end chris? or all round?

I've got them on the front of the Z4M and all round on the Noble. If there had been ZZ3s available when I had to replace the M400's tyres I'd have probably gone for them as they are very progressive breakaway.

They are starting to settle now, they have deep treadwear and i was getting a lot of tread squirm whilst breaking them in.

Mine have always been good. but first thing i do after getting tyres is nice long number eleven.

Would appreciate your input here please, sorry for being a tard and doing things in another thread but I found this after I started my thread.

Prob not the right thread but still tyres.

I have the federal RSRs and although great in the dry, in damp greasy surfaces you have to be care full. I've never had wheel spin in 4th before.

Think it's time to go back to winter tyres.

Ive had the RSRs through the summer as track tyres, and was sceptical after a couple of trackdays in this country, but after the ring and spa this week definitely confirmed that these are pretty rubbish tyres on track. Will definitely not be buying again.
