Yes, some of us have one or two sitting around. Some of us even race them...

I think they're great. Very ahead of its time and still great fun to drive. I've had my GT for a couple of years now - still gives great pleasure.

Cheers

Yep smile

Got my rear muffler deleted last week too - anyone contemplating this mod - get it done. Sounds fantastic.

Might have a bash at that myself before I get the new x pipe.

Definitely needs uncorking.

Yep, GTS owner here. Gradually doing mine up as it's a hand-me-down and was in a right state when the old man was finished with it!!

Indeed. Posted up in the show us your toy thread but still to do a proper readers cars number.

1990 S4 auto, Blue/Grey (anyone know the proper name?)

It's in great condition, just needs a better exhaust set up. And probably some induction upgrades too.

Was planning more pictures today but it's been pissing down constantly frown

Looks like Baltic Blue to me though I'm not 100%.

The RMD is a massive improvement, but mainly low down and on the over-run. Can't say I've noticed any performance difference.
You can get kits from the US which consist of two pipes to replace the backbox. I prefer the single pipe look and didn't fancy paying (IIRC) $400+ plus shipping and fitting for this. Took mine to a custom exhaust outfit and got this for $200 all done:

Plenty on YouTube for you to listen to, search 928S4 RMD.

Oh, and that is gorgeous, congrats.

Cheers for that.

I've made my own exhaust sytems before for conversions, might well do the same for the above, looks very straight forward but a pile easier with a pipe bender.

I had a custom system made by Powerspeed in Kent. 2.25" downpipes, Y pipe into 3" single pipe system with 2 intermediate straight through silencers and a final silencer which can be unbolted and swapped for more / less noise.

The sound is fantastic! And my S2-engined 1979 car now makes 320bhp/320ft-lb.

How much did that set you back Joel if you don't mind me asking?

The current system is fairly new, should hopefully get a few quid back for selling that on.
