Tyre cuts - repairable or bin?

Riding in a flintstone area recently and my tyres have picked up a few cuts.
The first two are of the same cut on the front tyre which I replaced.




Got a flint punture on my road bike yesterday too. Replacement ordered.


The hybrid tyres are 700 x 35C Schwalbe Marathon Supremes with kevlar guard. The road bike is Schwalbe Ultremo ZX with HD speed guard.
Am I being over-cautious replacing these? Can I repair them with glue and keep them as spares or should I bin them?

Ride on - so long as you are ckecking them over every week or so you ought to spot things getting any worse.

The road tyre does look worn, though?

I'd say keep riding but add a bit of card or a gel wrapper to your kit to act as a make shift tyre boot just in case the worst does happen.

Fill the cuts with superglue so stones can't work their way into them. Personally I still wouldn't use them for long rides where multiple punctures would be a game changer but commuting or spares, sure.

Stick a patch to the inside of the tyre, sorts it out.

Just the photo making it look like that, it has probably less than 200 miles on it.

Superglued and patched a tubeless mtb tyre the other week and still going fine.

Save them for thrashing to death on a turbo trainer or whatever your indoor winter torture equipment is.

Thanks everyone, I've superglued the one on my road bike and will check it on the ride tomorrow then replace when the new one arrives. It's on the rear which makes me feel slightly more comfortable.
