I'm a massive fan of the CLS, although I've never actually owned one. I currently have a 5 Series estate and think the CLS Shooting Brake looks beautiful. The new 2.5 diesel engine is attraction too.

What does everyone else think about it?

If you mean the CLS250 cdi then these will no doubt be the 2.1 litre used in the C and E Class which are all 2.1 litre but badged as 200 cdi, 220 cdi or 250cdi depending on output!

Merc are unfortunately going down the BMW route where badge now gives little or no indication of engine size.

I like the front and rear views of the shooting brake, but think the side profile is hideously proportioned!

I specced our first one yesterday; looking forward to it arriving as I'm also a fan of its looks....I did resist ordering the £5k Canadian wood boot floor though! hehe

Anyone know what the towing weights are for these, nothing in the download brochures...

Nearly bought the saloon (coupe?!), but not allowed to tow, looks like you can with the 'brake....

You can definitely fit a tow-bar, I'll have a look when I'm back in the office on Monday to see if I can find anything about the towing weight.
