Comes up well.. as someone who ius about to embark ont he same can i ask what substances you use?
I traditionally use Meguairs, shampoo, claybar, then colinite wax makes a good job. Then lasty month in Costco did my usual impulsiove buy and bought a polisher (and a trolley jack) bugger only went in for a Pizza! However, i have no idea what wax/polish you would use with a polisher?

May i ask what you used?

First off I washed and dried the car then:

1) Used a clay bar with Meguiars quick detail spray
2) Used my Meguiars G220v2 machine polished and Meguiars Ultimate Compound to cut the car a bit (swirls marks were bad in places). In some instances where they were lifted but still there a bit I followed up with Meguiars Scratch X 2.0.
3) I then used Meguiars Ultimate Polish.
4) I then used Meguairs Golden Wax to seal the car. I hope this helps.

I bought my kit from Ultimate Finish and it was about £275 with the Meguiars buffer 6 pads and a selection of DoDo Juice chemicals. I bought all the Meguiars stuff seperatley. I got a free Meguiars case though smile

Yanayaya, don't know if it's just my machine/browswer but this pics, even when clicked on, are tiny! Makes it really difficult to see the work you've done to your car.

Same for anyone else?

When you click, it eventually open up photobucket.

If anyone is interested in a machine, Euro car parts are doing an offer on the Meguirs G220 v2 dual action polisher. Reduced from £219.99 down to £156.99. I just got an email a few days ago.

Yes, but when the image is displayed inside the photobucket site they are the same size on the screen as they are inside this forum (for me anyway) - i.e. clicking each picture takes me to a picture exactly the same size as the one I clicked.

Saw you (or the car at least) going up Guild St this afternoon, looks very nice. Used to see a similar Cav on Watson St on my walk to work, may it was you as well?

Car looks bloody lovely. Can I ask where you got the polishing kit from? Was it local?

I'd like to buy one and have a go myself, it will save me ages when I do the cars!

I bought the kit from Ultimate Finish because I was getting annoyed going from shop to shop in Aberdeen and them never having the polisher I wanted (which was a Meguiars unit) so it was faster to literally get on online. I went to Ultimate Finish and they sold me a kit with 6 pads and a large selection of polishes and waxes (most of which were DoDo Juice) and the Meguiars V2 polisher and Meguiars bag etc etc. It all came to around £245 but you got a lot for your money and they threw in free delivery plus I didn't have to mess
around looking for the kit. The Meguiars polishes however I bought on my own.
