Looking for a 997 with warranty
Discussion
Afternoon all,
I'm currently looking for a 997 with OPC warranty so that I have something nice and sporty to ferry my wife and daughter about. If anyone knows of any decent cars that are available can you let me know?
I am aware of engine scoring issues but is there anything else I should look out for / must have options / colours to avoid?
I have cash waiting so can make a very quick purchase if the car is right!
Cheers,
David

I don't have a 997 for sale, but reading your message makes me think there's a lot of detail missing.I'm currently looking for a 997 with OPC warranty so that I have something nice and sporty to ferry my wife and daughter about. Are you looking for a 2004 997 C2 for around £23K, or a 2006 C2S for £35K or a 2010 GTS for £55K for example?? Do you have a preference for 2wd, 4wd, turbo or GT3 (assume not a GT3 if you have 2 passengers).
Re must have options.... suggest sports chrono is up there, a manual gearbox and 2WD. Adaptive seats would be good, no sunroof is good, and lady-park may be helpful if you have to park in London.
As for colours, black, silver, grey and blue are good for resale. Yellow, white, red and green less so. Spec black interior and not cocoa, blue or baby-puke colours.
Standard lobster fork wheels are OK, but carrera or sports design are better.
ETA... PSE is a highly desired option.
HTH.

Sorry for lack of detail but posted in a bit of a rush before going out for dinner. Because I want to use the car for a mixture of weekend fun and driving to work a couple of days a week so looking for something cheaper that I can stick some miles on without suffering huge depreciation. I'm therefore quite happy with a C2 3.6 with a few nice gadgets.
I definitely want black or blue leather. Externally I don't mind black, silver, grey or red but not white or yellow or green!
Price wise I'm thinking somewhere in the low 20s so I suffer less deprivation when I throw a load of miles at it!
