As my search continues, I keep coming back to Wilier bikes. More often than not to the cento 1 SR.
Athletically they look fantastic, colour schemes and frame design.
However for the money the wheelsets and components don't seem the best.
I've never ridden one so I'm wondering who has and how they found them.

I had a demo on a Izoard for similar reasons. Loved the look of them but also found the components not that fantastic. I still rode it though but did not like it all. Whether it had been set up incorrectly Im not sure, saddle height and reach were very similar to my existing bike but something just didnt click with me. Maybe if a bit more time with set up had been spent it may be another story. In the end I went with my gut feeling and moved onto another manufacturer.

It was a bit tongue in cheek. Agree with your sentiment re Cervelo's but Okgo loves his. Not sure it goes so well with him aboard however. Wilier are great bikes. The Cento Uno looks fab. Get it bought!Is a Wilier the complete opposite of that though?
I have owned two Wiliers both Izoard's they are pretty decent IMO. Geo is quite relaxed so they make a good all day bike. I had Chorus on the first which I didnt get on with, the UT crank was s
t quite honestly. The 'new' one was built up from s/h parts and prolly cost about £4-500. A couple of guys in the club have the Cento and they quite like them, personally I dont think they are a match for an SL3/4 or Cervelo but if you are strong rider you will do well on anything. If you're looking for value/performance then try a Boardman?

Cervelo, cheers okgo, got in before me lol.S5 Team and will be ready to collect on the 29th, so excited I can hardly contain myself especially after watching Saturdays Vuelta highlights and seeing the exact same frame. Shame I wont be able to ride it anywhere like they do. Still least it will put a smile on my face and who cares anyway after I what I have just seen riding past my window. Guy was the size of a house on a clearly brand new Carrera and he was dressed top to toe in SKY team kit

Can't help you then, I dont get people who overlook a package because of a brand. Bloke said to me the other week in a TT 'shame you have PX wheels on the Ridley'...the real shame was I was knocking on the door of 22's and he was 2 mins behind with his fantastic Zipp's I don't think I could buy a boardman bike no matter how good the reviews. If there was an Obree bike though.........
Each to their own I guess.
Seats and skodas are essentially Audi but some people overlook them cause of branding.
I'm overlooking them because I have never been a fan of boardman so I'm not wanting to contribute to his success if I can find another product just as good.
To be clear, I am not overlooking it because of brand snobbery, more allegiance to the flag :-)

I bought a Pinarello which I'll freely admit didn't have the best spec for the money. But the frame was just so beautiful I couldn't even consider the alternatives. The bike is still twice as fast as I am no matter what wheels it's rolling on.Seats and skodas are essentially Audi but some people overlook them cause of branding.
