Lol. Would not mind a few hundred or £50 extra a month (wouldent we all).

How do you guys make a bit of additional income which isent too time consuming?

Buy and then sell things for more on ebay?
Get cashback?
Make money online somehow?

Far easier to save £50 a month than try and earn it on micro work.

Sorry. Are you saying that in 3 months you made 450 quid minus insurance and travel costs by turning over 2 cars?

If so that seems more like a complete waste of time than a money making idea.

If your working on such small mark ups then your going to end up with a car that needs something as small as a wheel bearing or 2 tyres which will completely wipe out your 3 months profit margins.

yes but isn't life about taking a risk and it was pretty minimal as I buy cars with parts I can sell off..miltek exhausts etc. So far up by about 600 quid this year, had 5 cars, lost on 2.

For example i bought a 1996 323 for 420 with 6 months tax and test. something goes wrong i sell it, but do a few things and sell in 3 months for 600 and invest in another. it is just a hobby and i like the risk abeit very small change. In a year aiming for a grand equity then double up year 2.

I am not gong to make millions just get to drive some nice cars for a few months.

Insane!!!

Actually if it's a hobby then fair enough. But set your goals higher. Why did it take 3 months to sell a £600 car? 5 cars and lost money on 2, I guess your getting very cheap motoring at best.

What nice cars do you get to drive that cost under £500? Very confused.

Also if they break you sell them? Bit odd selling on a lemon, my conscience wouldn't let me do that.

Clean carbs and injectors / anything metal at auto jumbles or mobile

Same with jewellery at anywhere women congregate, you do it whilst they wait It takes 90 / 180 seconds and you need a drying towel of microfiber.

Start up is £30 + location costs, to do it with a decent machine it's £120

I know one guy who does mower carbs only and removes and cleans them as a full time job (inc servicing the mower)

Hunt out a decent location (there's loads of them) and persuade its occupier to let you put a fruit machine in it on a promise of half the proceeds. Then empty it once a month.

A decent 2nd hand machine from a good supplier will cost you between £150 and £500.

what about buying wholesale for ebay and then selling again.

I have 500-1000 pound to buy stuff provided it will shift at either the same price or preferably higher lol.

Start a part time window cleaning round by knocking on doors and posting flyers.

No money to set up other than set of ladders, bucket and sponge.

Seriously, after paying £8 for 3 99 ice creams today at the local park I'm thinking about setting up an ice cream van. The profits must be fking HUGE.

They are. But how do you think you get a good spot? It isn't a tickling contest if that helps wink

If you are doing it as a business, and let's face it you aren't trying to make a loss, then chances are hmrc will show interest. Unless you live on an isolated farm and have a new mobile number on Gumtree every week, then your neighbours and the council might diss approve, not to mention your mortgage company if you have one.
