Its been nice - New Broadband Provider today

If I never make it back, its not personal - its just that I have changed my broadband provider and cant yet get it working.......

I assume you live in a smokey metropolis or a telephone exchange?

poor old me, i share one piece of copper with half of norfolk, had to rewire my house, by the worlds greatest router and change IP to crawl over 1.25 Mb

Most of my neighbours are at least 0.5 to .75 M behind me - but we just got LLU - yipee. We can now watch iplayer and not have to drink 5 beers in any single episode

No, I live in rural Shropshire. Just lucky Virgin decided to put cable in our road...I don't know why but I'm not complaining. I used to live very rural (only a few near neighbours) until last year but children and school made me move more towards civilisation.

I went round the pressac factory here in Nottingham not long ago they do the electronics for BT - they are just finalising the design for 40mb down the standard copper into your house. I assume that will be a maximum but still quite an achievement.

awww... i feel for you...that's a tiny garden and no man should live in such confined spaced Luckily you are coping though that's what matters

I just struggle on - never complain. You should see the front garden. Can barely fit a family BBQ in there and I am dammed if I can get more than 6 cars on the drive...sometimes it is a wonder I have the strength to carry on...

If it wasn't for the joy of ragging TVR's through the open countryside I may just give up.

I can practise Archery (there are several nearby highly regarded clubs) and I one drunk Archers...only once. Does this help?

My local jobcentre is no help what so ever, although I don't know where it is and I have never been there to give them the opportunity to be helpful.

I once filled out the tax credit forms and after 6 pages of questions my entitlement was "NIL". Not even "0", the actual word "NIL". Honestly, what do I pay my 50% tax for!!!
