R107 sump plug
Discussion
Morning all,
Numpty question I suspect but anyone got any ideas where the sump plug is on a R107 300SL (1988)?
Had an oil & filter change after the garage totally ignored my request for 10W 40 and a small oil patch appeared on the garage floor, so wondering if they either didn't tighten it enough or maybe didn't wipe it?
Cheers

I know it's a different engine, but may be in the same place. On the 420, it's at the back of the sump and is easy enough to reach with the front on ramps or jack up under the rearmost subframe and put it on axle stands.
Many thanks for the reply. The reason for asking is that currently I don't have jack/stands so was going to try (!) to simply get under the car as best I could, se being able to aim for roughly the right area would ensure as little time with my head rubbing betwixt garage floor and underside of the car!Cheers
