Tingly fingertips
Discussion
I did a long (187mile) ride last Saturday and ever since then, I've had a tingly sensation in the fingertips of my two outer fingers on my right hand. This has reduced a lot since last Saturday but is still there (I have been riding daily commuting to work and did about 25 miles on Saturday and 70 yesterday, so not exactly resting). Anybody else had this? If so, did it go away or do I need to see someone about it?
Sounds like Guyon's canal or cubital tunnel syndrome - you've basically impinged the ulna nerve either at your elbow, or more likely your wrist fella.
Nothing to worry about and it'll just disappear . . . common thing to happen to cyclists.
If it persists there are surgical options for treatment, but if you've not had problems with it before I doubt you'll need it . . . it's just a reminder that you've had a long time in the saddle recently!
