Warning buzzer - WTF??!!
Discussion
My car is trying to tell me something, unfortunately it's not speaking my language.
This has happened a few times recently. Stop the car, turn of and I get 10 warning buzzes. No it's not the lights, they're definitely off. However the dash stays lit, as does the hazard light switch and the rear number plate light. The only way I can get the lights to go out is to pull the number 7 fuse, which is pretty crap really.
What does it mean?!!!!
Cheers,
Rob

Havin had a TVR, still misin it, the easy way to start would be find what the no7 fuse is connected up to so you got it narrowed down.
If its the dash light an number plate light not going out when its all switche d off thats causing the buzzing alrm check contacts on the switch earths on the light etc.
Is it the alarm system?

OK, then number 7 fuse is used in these systems:
Central locking: 7, 35, 43
power-operated soft top: 7, 35, 43, 49
Roll-over protective system: 7, 35, 42, 43
Hmmm, Obviously I haven't got a soft top. No idea what the roll-over system is.
Number 7 is the only fuse that will turn of the lights, despite it having apparently nothing to do with any lighting system.
curses!!
Cheers,
Rob

Aha!
I think I've found a likely suspect. Seems the tailgate lock is a bit buggered and isn't locking correctly all the time, particularly when wet - so all the bloody time then. I'll try spray the hell out of it with WD40 and teflon spray and see if that improves matters.
