However, I've got a bit pissed off recently by that woman who wrote the book The Pits, about sexism in F1. OK, so F1 is up its own arse, but if she'd bothered to look at some of the more illustrious female rally champions, or been to watch club level motorsport and seen men and women competing wheel-to-wheel, she'd realise it was less of a man's world than she'd been led to believe.
I lost any possible interest in what this woman was talking about when she was on R2 talking to Johnny Walker. In one breath she was condemning the fact that there are drivers in F1, not on merit, but because they brought sponsorship money. In the very next breath she answered the question as to what should be done to bring F1 into the 21st century, she said there should be a female driver. So, that wouldn't be commending the idea of putting a driver in F1 not on merit but for interest, would it?
