Blimey, 50 quid for someone to move your seat and bars a bit? It's not really difficult to do that yourself and see what difference it makes.

If you thought you were too stretched out before, did it not occur to you to move things yourself? Genuinely curious.

It sounds like he's made the bike a bit more sit up and beg? Which will always be more comfortable than the position a racey road bike is meant to be ridden. As long as you are comfortable that is all that matters at this stage. Getting into a more aero dynamic position isn't really a concern of most riders, but might be if you really want to find some free speed.

I'm tempted by a fit if only because I want to find the most efficient position. But realistically: I'm comfortable (get numb hands after 90 mins or so) and average speed is creeping up nicely on 'open road' rides. So I can't be bothered.

I have NOT had a proper bike fitting, but you will need to drop them handlebars and get more aerodynamic for starters, innit?
