Online separation agreements
Discussion
A few questions, are these web companies offering separation agreements worth a go?My situation is i,m buying out my ex on our property and want everything down in black and white signed and sealed.Other things such as pension rights, child maintenance etc will also be included. Some offer to do them for around the 80 quid mark. Are they legally binding or should i go to a highstreet solicitor.
Cheers in advance

If you've come to an amicable decision on how you're splitting your matrimonial assets, then on-line can work if your (financial!) affairs are also quite simple. Once drafted, a financial consent order then needs to progress to court. It may be however that your amicable agreement doesn't look right to the Judge who could then call you in to explain, particularly if he or she is not convinced it's fair or if it seems the children are not being catered for as well as they should be. Good luck!Cheers in advance

Indeed. It's the Consent Order that is the key. Also, to be financially separated you not only need a Consent Order but for all joint accounts, joint mortgages, etc. have to be closed. You'll then need to contact each of the 3 major credit agencies to register the unlinking of finances. Gassing Station | Finance | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
