MTB tyres

Im a fan of Panaracers Fire XC pro but at £60 a pair and having to pay for a blown turbo thats a bit rich at the mo.
Anyone recommend anything for around £40 for the pair that are ok for XC, man made singletrack and dashing around the woods?

i use the on one site ,racing ralphs tubless a bargain at the moment ,and a great tyre.

Kenda Nevegal. Supplied as standard on two of the family's MTBs when new. Used for just the type of 'general XC/Singletrack/bombing about' that you mention in your OP, and pretty good at what they do. They are soft, so wear out quickly if you ride a lot on road, where they can be noisy (a bit like military Series 3 Landrover tyres at certain speeds). Never yet felt the need to swap them out, and quite happy to recommend them, as I'd buy another set, especially at a price somewhere between £20-£30 each.

Hehehe series 3 landi, I know what you mean. While searching for the Maxxis I found Panas fire cc folders in blue for £21.99 so went back. Will try the Maxxis next time LOL.

iv got geax sagaros on my xc bike and they are good on and off road. iv done about 1000 road miles on them and they still look new but have plenty of grip giving me confidence to lean to some crazy angles while cornering.

Landi???? You must be RAF, as in Army Speak, Landrover is always shortened to 'Rover'.
