The wheels on my 300SL could do with refurbing. Looked at the price of a decent refurb and it isnt far off buying 4 new alloys (not merc but Oz or BBS etc). Can anyone recommend a good alloy design that doesnt look too modern. I dont want to 'chav' the car up but would like a £400 odd solution that I can replace with new alloys.

the current design I have is..

An engineering workshop , such as Romax in Stockton who did mine charge about 50 a wheel to refurbish to a high standard.
spending £400 on non standard wheels for your car will only detract from the appearance of your car .

Please do not fit cheap aftermarket wheels to this car. Cheap wheels are cheap for a reason: they are inferior. They also look dreadful.

I totally agree, I cant stand to see SL's with massive 5 spoke crap on them! Perhaps I will get them refurbed instead.

stay original otherwise it looks like a council house drug dealer. Also these will go up in value in the next few years, for the ones that are in original condition. That is now getting rare to find.
