My drivers side mirror has gone loose and needs tightening. Can it be accessed from the small metal panel (about 3inches square) with four screws just in front of the mirror which is visible when u open the door?
Or is it door panel off time. Thought I'd ask before I unscrew things which I don't know what they hold and things fall into the door.
Either way, what will I find, ie.allan key or wing nuts or is it completely variable?
Thanks.

Think the panel you're refering too is all part of the window frame. If you have the mirrors with "rubber bands" they are a bit of a fiddle. Had them on my Chimaera but too long ago now to remember exactly how I went about sorting my droopy one!
Seem to recall there is a grub screw under the gaiter thing between mirror body and the door but access is near impossible ???
Sure someone who knows more will be along shortly ............
There is indeed a grub screw under the rubber boot bit, you'll probably have to take the mirror off to get to it though. If you grab the mirror you should be able to unscrew the whole thing off the door. Of course this is when you discover that the reason it's "droopy" is that the bit that holds it to the door is broken.
