S2 electric window switches

the ones on the following link look similar (but I haven't tried them)

Look as though they are pre-wired rather than tags

Where do the switches come from? I'm sure somebody told me they are classic Range Rover....
EBay the best route?
Landrover Discovery 1, ebay or your local land Rover IndyEBay the best route?
Are you having a problem Martin they were replaced when the dashboard was changed over.

Thanks all!
Yes Norman, the driver's one wouldn't wind the window back up when I was on the way back from picking it up and I got very wet! A bit of wiggling of the wires got the window back up.
It was on my list of things to sort (obviously either a broken wire or the switch) but while it was in for a service Dan noticed and stripped the door down before realising it was at the other end. He swapped it with the passenger one so I now have a working driver's window.
Anyway, as it's a cheap easy fix I should do it before all the smoke escapes from the wires
Are they the rear ones out of the Disco 1? It looks similar but seems to have a bigger surround and there's what looks like some extra plastic on the back:

The Up/Down switch in the second link looks similar but the arrows are both outlines rather than one being solid white - don't want to buy a pair unless I have to!
If you scroll down the auction that I posted you can see the rear of the switch - it does look the same (pinouts and plastic skirt around one side). I'm hoping it just has some plastic bezel/trim around it - I found a better one and have emailed the seller just to check that it presses out of the bezel. If not I'll have to hold out for a front window switch from a Disco 1 - I'd already seen the one you mentioned but it looks a bit tatty from the pic! Can't have it letting down the interior now

Hi all,
Fantastic blast in the spring sunshine today but my drivers side window failed to work when I went to put windows up and the car away. I swapped the switch with the passenger one and that did the trick. However, I now need one original window switch to replace my duff original. The Italian link looks potentially good but wondered if anyone knew of a source or had a recommendation before I get busy.
Cheers! Dave

Don't think there's much hope for the broken one. One of the contacts (for the down switch) is faulty. The very tiny return spring that should default it back to a neutral mid position has over stretched and warped. It's absolutely tiny and I don't think a repair will work. I'll look into a Disco Mk 1 rear from the bay but unless it's identical then I may create a separate issue regarding size and the fitting of the alloy (painted silver) bezel that complements my fairly recent retrim - at least I'll have 2 working windows though I suppose!
Thanks for the input and ideas,
Dave

Thought I'd close the topic by confirming that the 'Up/Down Switch' from the Vehicle Wiring Products website linked above is a perfect replacement for a faulty S2 window switch and actually has a decent double-headed white arrow graphic which looks pretty smart. The dimensions and connections are exactly the same as the originals I took out of my S2. My 'aluminium effect' painted bezels clipped on easily from the old switches to the new fully functional ones.
