Anyone heard of PH Sports Cars or Lewis James Porsche?
Discussion
Looking at a 964 for a friend...
It's had a top end by PH Sports cars - anyone heard of them?
Here is the car

Basically she's looking for a mint Tip-tronic.... preferably dark colours - blacks, silvers, navy etc.

I know PH Sportscars well. They are in Shardlow, South Derbyshire, about 2 miles from Donington Park.
they have been dealing/ mending/ servicing/ re-building Porsches for a very long time and I have had 2 944s over the years that they tended. (They also do a lot of mazda MX5s)
At least one of the mechanics is Porsche trained and is the workshop manager (Simon), several of the others have also worked on them (and for PH) for years. If I had a Porsche again, I'd definitely take it there for servicing/ work. They do sub out body work IIRC.
They do do a lot of repair/ re-build work on Cat C & D cars (and one of my 944s was a CatD car that they had rebuilt). I have no problem with that.
They are not a "shiny reception" outfit. Its an untidy yard and it sometimes takes a while for them to answer the phone but their work is good value because of it (low labour charges per hour because you are not paying for the receptionist and Cappucino machine)! You can also get cheap parts from them because they "break" a lot of cars.
No problem with recommending them.

Anyway, I have had experience in dealing with Lewis James. They are a new-ish specialist in Porsche think they formed around 3 years ago. They are professional and friendly. I would not hesitate to view. The impression I got from meeting them is that they are genuine, and do not seem the sort to mis-sell a vehicle. Good luck!
