Is it possible to reduce multiple pictures size/quality?

I've just got married, gone on honeymoon, attended another wedding and taken other bits and pieces on full chat with my new camera.

Is there a way to reduce every single photo in file as a copy, quickly?

It seems to me, that this is something that would be useful so assuming that it is possible to do on my camera itself, if not, with the software but google hasn't brought up any obvious solutions, annoyingly!

I've got about 1000 photo's I want to reduce from 14mp to about 10% of original size.

You want to do this in camera? At least give us a clue as to which camera!

I dont think there are many/any cameras that do batch editing/resizing on the fly.

Plenty of windows apps that will do that for you - try googles picasa export function.

It's a TZ18 Lumix Panasonic thing.

Not fussed if it's on the camera, or with software.

Don't forget that re-sizing to make smaller files will discard a lot of the original detail so you might want to save the original files somewhere first (at least those you feel you may want to keep).

it lets you pick the size etc and will then create a new file of the smaller image, leaving the originals intact.
