944 alarm indicator lights

Hi,
I've recently had my car resprayed (which involved removing the doors) and ever since the alarm indicator light (the ones in the locking buttons) won't stop flashing - even when the car is unlocked and the alarm is not on.
The lock and alarm appear to be working normally apart from these lights. Any ideas?
Also - can someone confirm the correct operation of the central locking button, is it supposed to lock AND unlock? currently it only unlocks - I'm thinking this may be a symptom of the same problem.
