If you live in or around Brighton or hove head to devils dyke. It's at the top of dyke road just off the second round about. Literally forget how good it is every time we go along it. Amazing views good straights and mental corners. Recommend it to anyone.

Anybody else have any roads they know of around east Sussex worth mentioning?

(This my first post, I'm only driving a 1.8 Sri corsa but it eas up devils dyke.)

I live in Forest Row and there's a link road that goes between Forest Row and Tunbridge Wells. Amazing!

I'm not far from Brighton and i've just had a look on google maps and i cant really see what's great about it (apart from the views!) It seems to me to be mostly a straight road with a kink in it 2/3rds of the way along. confused am i looking at the right road?

Which one?

I'm local to you and head out that way quite regularly but always looking for new roads!

confused It's news to me that there is an a alternative to the B2110 from Forest Row. It also ends well short of Tunbridge Wells at the junction with the A264 between the top of Groombridge Hill and Langton Green.

I wouldn't by any yardstick call it amazing. All of the first half is restricted to 50, then 40 at Upper Hartfield, and 30 at Hartfield. The NSL section from Hartfield to Groombridge is a lot better but comparatively short.

East Sussex has some much better roads than that one including, in the same area, the aforementioned A264 from East Grinstead.

A264 is good, be prepared to make a number of overtakes to get passed slow drivers though! The road that goes from the A264 to Hartfield is good fun although only a couple of miles.

The other half of the B2110 from East Grinstead via Turners Hill to Handcross is good. It's in West Sussex though, not East.

Devils Dyke Road is not all that, it's too narrow in many places. Saddlescome Road is very good though.

Agree on the A264.

Can also recommend the B2110 between Est Grinstead and Turners Hill, although there aren't many overtaking opportunities.

I was on both roads early this morning and they were great fun...

The coast road over from seaford 2 eastboutne is great especially taking in Beachy head if u turn off in East Dean go via Birling Gap. Most of it is open a national with some fast bends. Rocky lane between Burgess Hill & Haywards Heath is tight a challsing but fun although a short blast.
