Norway to UK (import duty etc)
Discussion
If I was to buy something online in Norway and have it sent to me in the UK, would I have to pay any form of duty? The company I am wanting to purchase from will not include sales tax as Norway is outside the EU.
Will I have to pay anything in the UK? Value of item is around £130.
Thanks.

There's info here:

If the value is under £135 (or even just above), you'll potentially be liable for just import VAT (at the current rate that would be applied in the UK) - unless it's tobacco, booze or smellies.
There's a limit of a value of £390 for stuff that isn't covered by your duty free allowance that you can personally bring in without charges, so you can't bring in just anything just because it's travelling with you.

Not Lutefisk! haha!
Very strange but I am wanting to buy some Høie Bedding. http://en.hoie.no/produkt/1654/ensfarget-sett
Looks like I will have to pay about £30 tax on import. Bedding is 784NOK with no tax plus 300NOK delivery.
