Nikon Coolscan III minor problems

Following fitting a new motherboard, i reinstalled the coolscan III (SCSI)
All works ok with the scanner. However the Help section with associated drop down menus ( ICE etc) cannot be opened.
Also the Gamma selector is also non operative

Ay ideas how i can round this at all? It is version 3.1.2

I would guess probably not. In fact not many people with scanners. I have an Epson flatbed but have never played with a Coolscan.

Is the software Nikon or third party? Some carfully worded search on the internet might turn up a few suggestions but I suspect that you may also find a lot of "noise" in the results.

Have you tried using VueScan software on it? I think there is a free limited version available. It seems to be able to detect and operate scanners even when the official software gives up.
