I had new tyres put on my car on friday, (215/40ZR 16's), I did think that they would give up and bugger off down the pub after 45 mins, but no they didnt bless em!

Considering it wasnt a Kwik Fick, in fact they are very good (usually), is this a record?

(on a side note, did you know that Norris Macwurter(sp) (him of Record Breakers fame) twin brother was killed by the IRA?)

I would have put money on it being Kwik Fit! Last time I went there I was over an hour for two tyres and all they did was pi55 about on the bl*dddy phone! At least I know now where the name Kwik Fit comes from, I had 40 of 'em!

I always have problems getting my AVS Sports fitted to my M5.

Their reasoning is the extra sidewall strength in the Yoko's compared to some other tyres I have had (P-Zero's, S-02s). I must agree to an extent as they could do me two P-Zero's in 10 minutes whereas one AVS-Sport took 1 hour and 10 minutes.

The were standing on the tyrewaal, using 4 or 5 levers and 3 or 4 guys at a time until they got exhausted and let someone else have a go.

He also said I had racing wheels (:clap) and they have a blunt ridge or something, they are 16" Racelines.

Actually, I had a flat on the front about two months ago while doing 120mph, I only noticed a slight vibration!

Tyre was pretty hot mind you.

That did take them a long time, the worst tyres I did were my mini tyres, P7F Pirelli 175/50X13, they don’t sound big but are wide enough for 7 inch rims, mine were only 5.5 so had great fun fitting them, took 2 of us standing on it while one used a tyre bar, my work mates loved me its easier with the old fashioned bars rather than the automated machines.

It wasnt so much getting the tryes on it was making them "pop" over the ridge.
They put 150 pound pressure in the tyre!
