Ive always had my C4S serviced at indies and been happy but when i saw the advert for Porsche main dealer doing major service for £395 inc vat I thought i'd give them a try.

It started with me handing over my keys in return for the keys to a brand new (3600 miles on the clock) Cayenne Hybrid at 8am an finishing with me handing them back at 5pm with an extra 150 miles on the clock.

My C4S came back sparkling an all stamped up an as long as you take the advisory quotes with a pinch of salt then I would defiantly recommend them.

Advisories: new key £185, mines a bit worn but still works, new battery £199, mines not a Porsche one, £230 to get the dust etc out of my break discs biggrin that's a Sunday afternoon job for me! And a couple of minor things like new Bose badge £8 etc

All in all a great experience an the car feels great, I love the placebo effect thumbup

Mine is due a major service in 15 days. Is the £395 specific to Porsche Chester or are all the OPC's doing it? My indy charged almost a grand for my last minor service!!

Thats cheap for a major service. Anyone know if this is a deal other OPC's are offering? Mines not due till December, but for that price I'd take it in early.

It's all OPC's, a minor service is £265 inc VAT!

I was told the courtesy car would be some form of Porsche so it was an extra little treat to have a £75k Cayenne for the day!

Wish I could say the same about Aberdeen OPC.
Probably not fair to go into details just now but if I decide not to use them its 130 miles to the next OPC in Edinburgh.
There is a good independant in aberdeen (Bavaria) and I use them for lots of stuff. But some things are OPC specific, anybody have any suggestions?

When is yours due? Not many options up there.

Allo Lee, Barry.

The 2 year is due in March, I get regular oil changes (includes a minor service) from Bavaria.
I heard there is a good indy near Perth.
But some things need to be at OPC, or bought from them.

ps I've not gone public about them but they haven't even responded to my complaint!!
I want to see what they say before I reveal and have been patient and not mentioned on any forums (up to now)

All I will say in the meantime is check your car thoroughly after any work - regardless of what is getting done or where it is getting done.

£260 isn't bad for a minor service at OPC. I paid £250 at indy for an oil change (which included a 'free' minor service). OPC wanted £250 for oil change only.

To put it into perspective Audi charge about £290 for a minor service.
