It's not the first in 20years as it's not in service, if you see the article this is version 2.0!

They have been evolving the design for years, just a flight worthy suit isn't active since the 1992 update.

Wrong way, no pressure, not excessive pressure.

Thermal issues as well, something along the lines of -60-70C in the shade, to +200c in the sun.

Radiation and impact considerations too.

Being NASA they called it a 'mechanical counterpressure suit' - the wiki has a fantastic photo
