Plan B - ill Manors (album not single)

Had a search and couln't find anything so apologies if thsi is a pearoast.

Anyone else got this yet? Properly dark in places and lyrically right back to WNAWYGW but with a more up to date musical backing. Two listens in and I'm really enjoying it although the track with kid being stabbed and screaming is pretty hard listening. I'd love to see the look on the faces of those who only know the Strickland Banks stuff as they listen to this for the first time!

I just think he's a very average singer, a sh*t rapper... Suppose his acting might be alright. Haven't seen it.

Wasn't he always like this though? It was only his last album circa 2010 where he became a bit more mainstream to try and get his name out there a bit.

Not to everyone's taste but in my eyes he's incredibly talented. Ive been a fan of his since he first came onto the scene with Who Needs Actions When You Got Words, and from then it was apparent he has a way to portray an image through his words like no other UK Rapper was able to. I believe his Lyricism is up there with the very best, Nas,Eminem and the like. Ill Manors Has raised his bar even further IMO. 'deepest shame' is a stand out for me.

What impresses me is his Versatility, a breath of fresh air and im so glad hes cracked the mainstream without losing his values, extremely humble and incredibly intelligent.

He is very very good but I think he's being a little fake with this "for the kids" bks he's been spouting.

He has directly sympaphised with the rioters and that for me marks him out as either a complete prick or a liar.

Haven't heard ill Manors yet but rate the Strickland album and his performance in Harry Brown. He makes Chase and Status' ~ End credits too imho.
