How to 'slow down' a movie clip on a mac

Hi

Unfortunately iMovie 08 doesn't offer this feature and I can't find a download of IMovie 06 anywhere - for some reason the oldest version offers the feature!

Anyway, I'm wanting to edit a few movie clips in terms of slowing them down by around 50%,

Does anyone know of any free software/trialware which will do this?

OK - you're sure? iMovie 11 certainly does this, so I don't follow how a newish version doesn't but an older one does? But, hey - I understand some of the perversity that is Apple - suggest you bite the bullet and upgrade to '11. I am a complete novice, but iMovie is pretty easy to understand.

imove 09 does it. Hover over the clip until the blu menu appears, drop down option to clip adjustment and the speed is in there, unless 08 if different.
