Anyone know of places to get cheap flights to the states? (Manchester to Boston, around about mid October time, but a little bit flexible on that)

I've looked at the usual Expedia, cheapflights etc, and although the prices are about what I was expecting, don't want to miss a bargain.

Just need the flights, as I have friends out there who will provide accomodation in return for a delivery of english items they cannot get in the US (Robinsons cordial, super noodles, PG Tips, British chocolate)

Cheers,

Andy

You wont find any, last minute deals seem to have gone all but out the window.

Best bet is to sign up your route with Kayak and get the daily prices. I saved over £90 per person doing that.

I fly to the states a lot and use either skyscanner.net or Kayak.com - the good thing with Skyscanner is you can view prices for a whole month, so if you can be flexible you can see the best days to travel.

Thanks guys, I'd pretty much decided that the prices were what was the going rate, but didn't want to miss some little known bargain. :-)

Roger - Sadly, Monarch don't fly to Boston!!

#1 Rule for a cheap America flight. Stay there over a Saturday night, or they rape you.

I go back and forth for work a bit and obviously try to go there and back in a working week not to feck my weekends up.
If you can stay a Saturday there, prices are a third less.
It's always been this way
So travelling on a Sunday is cheaper? If so, then that could make all the difference. I'm travelling for pleasure rather than business, so can pretty much choose when I travel.
