996tt front end knock on bumpy road
Discussion
My drive is in a very bad way and I literally crawl down it at about 5mph in the porsche. After a trip to knockhill I've noticed some kind of suspension knocking when going over the bumps & potholes.
The last MOT records an advisory for slight play in ball joint on offside front tie bar/rod.... does anyone know what part number that would be and is this likely to be the cause of my knocks?

I find this very useful...all part numbers freely available here...

Exactly the same on my C4S a few years back - it was Front suspension drop links - replaced - bliss !

Play in the steering rod end, or the bushes in the coffin arms starting to delaminate can cause this.
Thank you, I will check these out, presumably these things will be fairly obvious when I get underneath the car?Gassing Station | Porsche General | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
