Keyless Go problems on CLK

Morning all,

I've tried a quick search on this site and around the web and it seems like plenty of owners have had trouble with Keyless Go working less than perfectly. I can still unlock the boot without using the key and the car will start (and stop) using the button on the gear stick. However, neither the driver or passenger side door will open so I think the sensors must have gone.

My question is, has anyone had the sensors replaced under warranty and is there anything in particular I should be saying to the dealer to get these done for free? I bought the car with the benefit of the full MB AUC warranty late last year and I can't imagine that this would be classed as a routine wear and tear item. I've changed the batteries and reset the keys according to the instructions in the owner's manual but I wouldn't imagine that this is the problem given that the boot still works properly and the car still starts whenever the key is in my pocket.
