There are rumours going round that Curtis Hayles is to return to the British GT championship with his sister Emma. Hayles Racing will always be remembered for being sponsored by the Swan Hotel. In 2001 the lead car was driven by Tim Harvey and Rob Wilson.

Nice to see the Viper back as I efforts to get one in for this year somewhat fell down.

This is only a rumour. There are no confirmations on this yet, are there?

As for a Viper in the British series, I can't see it myself. But anything is possible next year I suppose.

Hayles racing no longer own either of the Vipers they raced in the Championship

I heard that Curtis may be buying the car back from Peter Cook; maybe John75 could tell us more.

N-GT? I thought that the organisers had already decided that the GT class will still be left out of next year's championship.

There are a couple of N-GT spec Vipers about. Hayles Racing campaigned one in 2001 with Ben Devlin IIRC

Who, incidentally, was out testing his red 996 Turbo at Oulton three weeks ago. Looked to be in GT, rather than N-GT spec

I believe the car was being tested ahead of a forthcoming Belcar run

Interesting. Guess he's decided not to sell it then.
