Hi,

just checking before I order, 18 inch (optional) wheels on a 986S. Rear 265/35 18, front 225/40 18. I don't do many miles so wear not too important and like grip and controlability. Occasional track use (sprints and hillclimbs). Car is used in wet too.

Also, anyone likely to be cheaper than Black Circles or Micheldever? Total price at the moment £866 inc fitting.

thanks

For me they are the tyre of choice for N rated. Check out Camskill as they are often more competitive than Blackcircles and Micheldever.

Just got two 365/35/19 Michelin PS2 N2s. £525 with mobile fitting at home

Went out for a drive today and very pleased with them. Much better than my old bridgestones.

I put a set of rears on my 996C4S and got to say that initial thoughts are that they're better than my conti's that were on earlier. 2x 295/30/18's for £532 fitted

What kind of Porsche takes tyres that wide?

I've just picked up a 996 3.6 facelift, with Bridgestone S-02s on the back. I used to love them back in my Impreza/TVR days - and I have to say I cannot unstick the back without *really* trying - the 285/30 GT3 sized rims help.

Are the Mich's better, IYO? I never liked them in the wet when I had a set...the S02s seemed good everywhere.

I paid £448 from F1 Autocentres with an aditional £50 cash back from Michilin to come so you might want to give them a try.

What size did you get for £448?

Just found a nail near the outer edge of my rear tyre 265/35/19 N2 Arhhh.

I noticed that Michelin are doing the cashback for £25 for a pair so might as well replace both rears and leave the good 5mm tread tyre as a spare!

Can you have N1 and N2 tyres on the same axle or do they have to be the same?

Thanks

Looks like the offer is £50 of Sainsbury fuel vouchers which I assume is better than nothing and ends in 2 days 31/7/2012

Just need to find a participating retailer now unless I can get tyre plugged.

I personally wouldn't. On different axles maybe but not on the same.

Been looking at prices on the net and noticed that Camskill have put prices up from £230 to £260 in the last week or so for 265/35/19 N2's

Prices seem to fluctuate like the stock market!! I wonder if the price has gone up because of the Michelin £50 cashback offer and I suspect will go back down when the offer is finished on Wednesday....
