No Oil pressure after resetting ECU Adaptives and Misfire ??
Discussion
After having problems with my ECU solved, I reset the Adaptives while the engine was running. Just after that I heared a loud BANG and after a while I realised there is no oil pressure anymore !!
Immediately after that the engine was knocking unusual loud and I think the problem must be somewhere on the top end. Can the finger followers bend or break away ? Can misfire (abrupt forces on the chain) break the woodruff key on the shaft of the oil pump ?
Maybe somebody has a pic from the top end. Please Help !
I already started another thread in the (wrong) Cerbera forum with some additional information on the problem

My advice would be to whip the rocker cover off and check the shims are all seated properly, if there is one missing it could have been eaten by the pump, but it would be good to check the top end anyway.
I can't see it being related to the diagnostics, but it is hard without being there.
Yep, took the cover off. Who can spot the difference ;-) ...I can't see it being related to the diagnostics, but it is hard without being there.

These are exhaust valves on cylinder 5. If the shim has been eaten by the pump, does this mean the woodruff key on the oil punmp shaft is gone ? Looks like an engine out on a cerbera ?
