Background change practice...

Just to brush up on my photoshop skills I decided to play about with some car pics and concentrate on doing a couple of background changes.

This first one was done at about 1 in the morning so it's far from perfect.

I just completed this one after maybe 2 hours of tinkering and i'm quite happy with it.

I like the second one. The angle of the car in the first one looks too extreme to me.

Good effort on the cutting and shadows, but the angles aren't quite right - the most important thing when compositing is to get the horizons to match. This can be difficult when you can't see the horizon, but if you don't get it spot on it will always look wrong.

ETA it's even more complicated when the background of one or both images is on a hillside!

Yeah, they were tricky to get looking right. I tried to gauge where the focus should be horizontally by the location of the M3 in the original. Imagine where the M3 would sit if it drove forward. Maybe it's a slight clockwise rotate it needs. The focus almost looks like it has positive camber.

Tweaked it a little now and I think it's better...
