...demonstrator from Porsche Centre Newcastle.

I have this car for two days while mine has its MOT, tyres, and a new door membrane.

Question: Does anyone know if this particular car is in its standard 394bhp form?

My 997.1 C4S has some pull, but this thing is like a SCUD MISSILE!

It's hard to believe this has only 39bhp more than mine. Is the 991 significantly lighter? Does PDK provide more power? Does the sports exhaust provide more power?

The 991 is significantly lighter (almost 100kg), but also better geared, as well as having less drivetrain losses than your C4S.

PDK is also uprated, sports exhaust does nothing for performance it just sounds good.

There is nothing obvious to show it does.

You wouldn't be able to tell from the buttons. Try slaloming down the road and see if it rolls over biggrin

It will feel very fast.

Damn. the one I tried felt fast next to my old GTS. And that has 14hp MORE!!

I did, and it didn't roll over wink

I must say that it doesn't feel as 911'y as mine. Don't get me wrong, it is an astonishing car and I'm not knocking it, but I now get what has been said about it not having that total 911 feel.

You're right. It's better to look at it as a new model with strong echoes of the 911. Drop the baggage and enjoy the ride

Had the very same car out a fortnight ago while my C2 was in for service.

Clearly they aren't fussy who takes it out.

There will be NO body roll into a fast corner and the car will be a slightly softer ride in a straight line smile

I hope you've done the decent thing and thrashed the nuts off it.

I can only begin to imagine how quick a 991 GT3 equipped with PDK might be.
