fotango photos

OK - my IT abilities have been just about sufficient to save a photo from my hotmail to the fotango website and its on there. Now how do i get that on to my profile? there is just a blank space to type something in!

Phil, does it not say "The URL of this photo is www.fotango.com/p/eba00172917f00000002.jpg" or simlar above your pic?

You need to copy the address (http: etc) into the field in your PH profile.

cannot see the URL anywhere when i look at the photo on fotango. there is some sort of reference - 0400129733_001U.jpg under the photo but nothing more than that.

am i being a fool?

It's been ages since I did mine, I think you can either put it in the public area and create a link to it, or you share it and create the link.

Open your photo folder in Fotango, then add to public gallery (you need to select a category from the list.

Once it is in the public gallery you can select the photo and then there is a link for creating a URL. This will be similar to the one you can already see. The new URL will appear above the photo and can then be copied and used in your profile or pic link.

I'm typing this from memory, so if you can't follow my dodgy instructions let me know which public gallery it's in and I'll sort it for you - and then post proper instructions. It took me a while the first time but I've sussed it now.

You can also use private url's

Click on your album and then click on the ohoto u want and on the options to the left is 'get a link to this picture' click on that and voila the pictures address in full.Copy that to wherever.

when i try loading to public gallery. cannot see any options to get link to the piccy.
