Is it worth joining any of the porsche clubs, like the main gb one? I might join if the mag was good quality and you save money on stuff, but not otherwise.

Great adverts in the mag too - just about anything and everything you could possibly want. The club has a forum up and running now.

I joined up when I got the car. As McNab said: the ads in the mag are handy. Its also a good source of information about almost everything Porsche related in the UK.

The club does lots of national events (I haven't been a meeting-goer although they do monthly meets) which have been fun. They also have at least a couple of touring hols/short breaks a year featuring closed-road runs, dinners etc if you're into that sort of thing.

Its a bit pricey at £60 for the wife and I but I reckon its worth it.

Why does your wife need to be a member too?

Oops. I meant for the wife and I. "Family" membership. Means she can participate in any events as she is covered by the club insurance as well. etc

I think it pretty good value, as everyone is saying the magazine alone makes it worth the money.(The June issue has 125 pages)

You also get a good discount on the Club's Trackdays and on Michelin Sport Cup tyres (the improved successor to the PzeroC)
