How to fit XJS seats?

I have some xjs seats to install & they seem a very tight fit. The seatbelt brackets have been drilled off but do I need to put spacers between the seat and floor & if so, what sort of height or is there another solution?

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

I put in XJS seats and they are a tight fit.

My first mistake - being short of grey matter - was not to ask whether they were electric or manual and mine were electric ( fleabay purchase ) ok I sorted that out but the plastic covers for the seatbelt mountings had to come off but even so the travel is quite limited. Bad news as her indoors legs are too short to reach the pedals Oh dear .......
Ok have you transferred over the original TVR seat mounting frame ? which may be in 2 parts - cant remember - but I know that it was required - it unbolts from the basic seat metalwork and it will require remounting note v accurate measurements for that. Any error limits the seat travel.
I also noted that driver and passenger tubs were not the same so check each side in turn.
You may find the top seat belt mounting a problem with the seat back as depending on the height the top of the seat obstructs the seat belt and restricts it coming out.

The whole job is a bit of a fiddle but the seats are a lot better.

I used the tvr mounts and cut most of the jag mount away I also had to pull a lot of the foam out as there a bit high, I swapped the drivers and passengers round so the recliner mechanism is more accessible
