The hand book and bible state that you should use Mobile atf 220 but i can`t get it anywhere,can you use anything else.
Went to my 1st tvrcc meet on sunday the noise was something else.

I think you can use auto box fluid. Name of the stuff escapes me for the moment...

Dextron IID

Its what goes in the gearbox as well AFT fluid.

Dextron IID

Its what goes in the gearbox as well AFT fluid.

Dexron IID spec ATF is widely available (Halfwits etc)and is the usual tipple for PAS systems and GM auto boxes.

Second edition states Dextron III or IID as alternatives pages 197/198 in the section under PAS.

TvR chimaera 450 2001, anyone know how much fluid the power steering system takes ????

I believe it’s around 1-1.5L
Get another litre if you want to flush it through, but you may not use it all.
A decent Dextron III is what you need.
