A bit more details would help... smile

How big is the scratch, how deep, where is it on the car etc

scratch goes from the back to the front on the drivers side and a scratch on the top left of the bonet goes into the middle .
most of it isnt that deep but some parts are quite deep and its starting to rust slightly.
i have a few pics of the scratches that the seller of the car gave me before i bought it see if that helps.

Bonet

drivers door (note thats not my mug on the door lol)

Sorry to see another victim :/ Im getting my boot resprayed after someone has either keyed it (i think)

Firstly, You won't find a cheap option to fix scratches :/ But i did find using Mantis scratch repair pen worked wonders on the lighter scratches! But Im having to pay £180 for the more deeper scratches to be filled and painted :/

Hope you get it fixed

You can find the Mantis stuff in Asdas btw

cheers i will give it a try. some parts of the scrach is quite light but some other bits are very deep i mean being quoted £400 for the whole side of the car resprayed + bonet seems like a reasonable idea and the guy said he would give the whole car a clear coat since hondas apparently dont clear coat their cars.

They generally do but the red CTR's etc are prone to fading under the clear - that's why I bought a black one :-D

well a number of people on civic forums had told me that milano reds dont tend to be clear coated. i may be wrong i dont really know anything about this stuff.
a quick look at your profile says your from Aberdeen and a professional detailer..... fancy coming down and machine polishing my car haha i need rid of the pink bonet and the non matching body panels i was told a machine polish is all it needs.
if you do scratch repair thats always a bonus :P

i did try and use some polish and it did fade the scratch slightly but was still noticeable.
but really the pics make the scratches look harmless they look much worse in person.
i need to take some better pictures myself the ones the seller gave me ain't the best.

I'm almost certain they won't polish out,not to an acceptable standard anyways. The civic paint is extremely thin and very rarely gives much allowance for heavy correction unfortunately...
