Hi all,
Taking my 996t on a track day this week. The car has continental sport contact N2 tyres, with standard pressure (36/44).
Any suggestions for best pressures for track use?
Thanks

I would stick with those pressures when hot. i.e. go out for a few laps then let out air so that they are back at those pressures when hot.

One of our guys with those tyres on his 964 destroyed his front left on Saturday. Not because his pressures were wrong but because the contis are not really up to track abuse. Best to keep sessions short to minimize them overheating.

..I would roll with that hot, they will go up about 6psi from cold, so do a handfull of laps and come into reset them, you can get a lot more grip from going lower, but you will destroy your tyres, and you have to drive home on them after..!

Thanks chaps, standard pressures it is, and short sessions.
Didn't really buy the car for track use, but curious to see how it feels.
Cheers
