Apologies if it's been covered before but I was just wondering what the general consensus was as to the best Central London hotel to stay in for a sightseeing trip with my partner and 5 year old daughter??

Novotels are normally very good for kids, a bit 'chainy', but the ones in London are actually nice and very good value for central locations.... http://www.novotel.com/gb/booking/hotels-list.shtm...

We usually stay at Meridien Piccadilly - nice, usually get huge room and central + pool (makes a nice break in late afternoon/early evening). Usually pay £250ish via hotel-direct (secret hotel in Piccadilly). Park at NCP in Soho (5 min walk).
Other hotel we've used is Novotel City South - good for Southbank, Borough Mkt etc. This one has a car park. Smallish but well organised rooms, ok for 1 or 2 nights. Usually 150ish.
