SL55 tyre help please

I am changing my tyres on my 2003 SL55 for the first time - the current tyres are budget that were put on my an independent. I don't drive the car particularly hard and use everyday as my commute. Looking at the more premium brands and different tyres on offer can anyone advise which will give the best overall performance - ride quality, durability etc ? I have asked various suppliers but all recommend different. Pirelli/Michelin/Continental/Bridgestone? Thanks for help

Continental MOs for me.
Michelin's usually last longest but are hellish expensive.

Tyres have become an absolute rip off over the past few years.

My last pair of rears were Continental MO at £508 the pair, that was the best local price the worst being nearer £600.

I wonder how much they're actually manufactured for, and how much is added on as they pass through each middleman?

I use about 3 sets of rears a year so am thinking of trying Falken 453's next time, I've heard good things about them and at nearer £360 a pair.

Camskill Tyres seem to offer the best prices I can find.

I prefer Michelin.

Falkens, on my second set now. Cannot beat them at that price £320/axel.

Thanks for your help guys, much appreciated.

Ordered a set of 4 this morning with Camskill - Michelin PS3 - £223 rears and £200 fronts so pretty happy with that. Best I was getting quoted was about £310 locally for the rears and have a guy to fit them etc for £60.

I am running Bridgestone RE050A on 19" rims which I got in November 2011 for £1k all 4 from F1 Autocentre.

They run quiet and are comfortable so no complaints so far.
