Is it worth shaving fractions of an ounce off parts?
Looking at the puncture prevention thread, the weight of certain tubes were mentions.
Being that I am 110kgs or thereabout, will I really notice that small saving?
On its own, no. But a few ounces here, a few grammes there across the bike and it soon adds up. Less weight to haul uphill or accelerate forwards means less energy expenditure and/or faster acceleration and/or higher speed. Esp. with rotating mass such as tyres, tubes, rims and spokes.Looking at the puncture prevention thread, the weight of certain tubes were mentions.

Well, for the guys who are saying lose the weight, well its not through want of trying.
For longer than I care to remember I have been doing gym sessions. Weight if anything has been steady, or maybe increased very slightly, but waist size has dropped by at least four inches.
Go figure that one.
