I know it's obvious that DC should retire and make way for someone who WANTS to win and not just be a Monaco porter with loads of cash but who else should retire ?

From a tifosi perspective, as much as I love Rubens he has to go as he is not going to be WC unless Schu hands him a few wins and Ralf should be shown the door as well even though he is an occasional winner he is never consistent enough.

The real trouble is that Schu Sr has won so many races that almost everyone else might as well retire as he is making the rest all look second rate AND they aren't! MS is just a phenomenon who will win at all costs (even driving into someone!)

I think this is Fisichella's last chance, Panis is another retiree imho along with Trulli, they will just never be near the front of the competition (even taking into account the very occasional front run).

The excitement machines are Alonso, Sato, Button, JPM (only because you don't know who he is going to take out), Webber, KR (Mr Brick personality!!)

MS is no excitement machine since MH left the scene as I don't think MS trusts the other drivers and uses the pitstops to overtake which is downright boring, I wanna see him overtake on the track!

There is another young Aussie, Ryan Briscoe, as test driver for Toyota who is a lot like JPM in the way he drives (ramming people off the track) ,in f3000 I think, I was watching him come from the back of the field and he is very daring in his choice of places to overtake, a little like Sato. Be nice to see 2 Aussies out there with a take no prisoners attitude giving the Schu a hard time

Any other candidates for retirement (apart from Schumacher himself obviously)

Still quite a bit of life left in Trulli otherwise Toyota would not have lined him up to support R Schumacher.

Witness his win at Monaco

Can't agree with you on Rubens. He's a nice chap and excellent driver when *motivated*. And he's still not that old despite being in F1 since 1993. He won't beat Schuey while he's in the Ferrari though and i fear Ferrari may fall apart when Michael leaves...i don't think its a smart thing for Rubens to try and stay on. He should have gone to Williams while he had the chance.

As for Ralf, Toyota show a complete misunderstanding of the sport to hire him on big money. Apart from a couple of feisty drives for Williams in 1999 he's never done anything other than do what is expected. Win in the best car of the day? Well, excuse me, but can't all F1 drivers do that????
