Done it yesterday, cracking views also hard work getting to the saddle - The route up (and down) is really rocky and demanding on the forearms coming down. 30 miles in total we got in the legs.

Definitely recommend it.

Did it on Saturday from the Merthyr side, works out at just under a 30 mile round trip from the house. Lots of people up there on Saturday tho.

I'm going to do a route around Taly bont reservoir next week.
