So what do you all think I could achieve price wise on one of those ex-demo 991s that the OPCs now have? They seem to be 83k to 89k. Do you reckon it's worth starting with a big figure in the 7s?

It would be cash no finance.

definitely - not many people around willing to drop c£80k cash on a new motor - I would start at <£75k and see what happened!

The black one at Leeds works out at £100K list, and for sale at £85K.

@£80K that would be a nice buy I reckon!

Ex-demo 991, not run in, thrashed from cold, screwed by everyman and his dog. Possibly tracked or used at Silverstone etc etc.

Its well secondhand. About 50k?

I'd bite the bullet (and did with my C2 Cab) and buy a new one. With your own spec, not thrashed by anyone and you can run it in carefully yourself. Whatever you decide you must buy one; they're fabulous. I've done 400 miles in mine in the 1st week! Happy days.

Maybe we need a new thread to find out how many people with engine failures had ex-demo cars? wink

This is my attitude too. If it's under warranty, who cares. How many years are you going to keep it?

Put it this way, you can get an ex-demo pre-reg Punto circa 30% under list.

Why should a 991 be different?

If there was a long waiting list, then I would understand, but there is'nt. They are not selling.

Because in percentage terms the Porsche loses much less than a Punto.

20% off a £100K demo car I think is pretty fair.

Thanks for all your replies. Anyone know what kind of discount I would get off list for a brand new one (no trade in)? 5%?

Hmm, OPCs don't normally like giving any discount as such, they usually work around it by giving an 'over the odds' trade price on a swapper. Having no p/x makes that difficult, but in terms of 'over allowance' on a p/x I think you could even do better the 5% if you pushed hard.

My dad just bought a 991 S - 600 miles demo car, specced to over 100k .. 84k.. that was a cash deal, OPC were not interested in discounting any further.

Dont think that is a bad deal. Just shows where the true market values of these are.
